Simon CollinsSimon Collins is a Sydney based painter, whose subject matter is primarily first person driven and presents a poetry of suburbia, as rich with the language of freeways as with the narrative of daily life. Shortlisted in the 2008 Doug Moran portrait prize and the 2007 Churchie National emerging art exhibition, Collins' sublime homage to the Australian dream, is beginning to gain the attention it so obviously warrants. Simon Collins graduated from the Sydney College of the Arts (University of Sydney), his work appears in private collections in Australia, Hong Kong, the United States, Germany and Italy.
