Hovering above eyelevel, encased in a transparent, elliptical sphere is an apparently floating, life-size semi-human figure. Approaching, the golden astronaut-type figure reveals wings and a mermaid’s tail. It seems to be floating within the amniotic fluid of the transparent egg, about to be born.

This work reflects the struggles of the human imagination, coming to grips with the magnitude of science in contentious issues like genetic engineering as well as the ancient attempts to search our consciousness for the existence of a soul.

This work represents a prototype, equipped for all extreme conditions, of a Soulsearchernaut.
