Modern artist Leonardo Cremonese was born in a small rural town north of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, in 1970.
He spent his childhood living in the states of Piaui, Minas Gerais and
Rio before moving to Australia with his family in 1983. Upon finishing
school, he completed both a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Art
from the University of New South Wales.
Leonardo has remained living and working in Sydney where he has been successfully exhibiting his work since 1991.
He also held a solo show at La Trobe University in Victoria and has
exhibited in group shows in Germany and Brazil. His work can be found
in private collections in Italy, Brazil and Australia.
In 2000 Leonardo was awarded a four year scholarship to study Historical Oil Painting Techniques and Drawing Practice with the successful mid-career artist Charlie Sheard.
His work has appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald, Inside Out, ELLE and belle magazine.
